Rolling The Dice in Colorado

Posted on March 23, 2021

If you are in need of some excitement and great food you might need the Ameristar Resort in Black Hawk, Colorado. Just a quick drive west of Denver lies a beautiful old mining town just a mountain drive away. The food at the Ameristar is some of Colorado’s finest with a Café, Grille and Steak House you will not want for anything, their food is to dream for, with the best Chef in Colorado its a must. Thank you Chef Dustin!

The Casino is clean and well spaced out so you don’t feel cramp and crowded like most Casinos. The atmosphere is electric and colorful. From table games to slots they have it all.

The Fireplace is the largest Fireplace we have ever seen. Pam and I love just sitting on the hearth and chilling and just watching people.

There is a really cool mountain RV Campground just minutes around the corner of Black Hawk in the neighboring town of Central City. The KOA is name Denver west. We did not stay at this KOA instead we stayed in the Denver area at Chatfield State Park. But I would like to stay here next time we are out that way.

We then traveled west to a neat little town Frisco, Colorado. What a cool little town. Frisco has many neat souvenir shops and several sidewalk Café and high end Restaurants. The main street is lined with Junipers and back drop of the Rocky Mountains. Frisco borders the beautiful Lake Dillon. What beautiful sight.

The girls love the shopping in Frisco
