We visit the Dallas Zoo

Posted on March 22, 2023March 22, 2023

First Class City Zoo!! Clean, organized and secured.

What a wonderful venue to take a child! As you enter the property, what do you see first? A beautiful Carousel with lights and music to set the atmosphere for the day. The roads and trails are very nice and smooth ( no toe trippers). The joy of enjoying the Zoo has to be the excitement of the children attending. Since we enjoyed the company of our Granddaughter, we had a opportunity to relive our childhood through her eyes.

If I had any advice to share with you, it would have to be take your time and follow the designed routes and check your location regularly so you will not miss anything. Expect at least four hours to complete your visit. We purchased our tickets and parking online and just presented our tickets on our cell phone and it made admission easy peasy!

What was our favorite part and animal display? There are so many great portions of the Dallas Zoo that I couldn’t possibly pick just one exhibit. But I would have to say that the Gorillas has to be one of the best along with the Giraffes and elephants. If you watch our YouTube channel on the Dallas Zoo you will see a couple of young Gorillas playing and wrestling like little kids, a sight to see!

The Dallas Zoo has many food opportunities and refreshments stands. There is an ice cream shop over in the Elephant and Giraffe sections that we took advantage of with benches to set and relax. And we had pizza indoors under air condition and it was very nice. The Chimpanzee display was closed and also the Lion display was closed for remodeling which was disappointing. The Dallas Zoo is a very good place to bring the kids if you are ever in the Dallas Texas area. we hope you have a oppurtunity to visit the Dallas Zoo.

Hope you enjoy our video of the Dallas Zoo!
