We traveled through Arkansas and stayed just briefly at Catherines Landing. We enjoyed it so much we made a point to come back and spend more time. This Resort has it all from the pool, to the cabins. It sets back off the busy highways and it gives you privacy and security. Setting on the banks of the Ouachita River there are several back in sights that back up to the river. In the newer section most are pull throughs with a few back ins around the river. There are lots of places to walk the dogs. We enjoyed a sitting area at a pavilion with a pond while we walked the dogs, it was very relaxing. There are two dog parks and a boat ramp on the premises. This is a beautiful area.
We went downtown and visited the observation Tower. Had a great time viewing the hills and downtown Hot Springs. The Tower has a great souvenir shop. We also visited the Garvin Woodland Gardens its just around the corner from Catherines Landing. Wear good shoes, its a hike from the end and back.
