Colorado on my Mind

Posted on March 17, 2021

Our trip to Colorado was full of excitement. The first night we arrived we were invited to the Red Rock Amphitheatre for a night of music with our Son and Daughter n law. The main featured band was the Little Big Town. The hike to the top of the Amphitheatre was something we will never forget. We had to stop several times to catch our breath as the altitude increased with every step. The little Big Town Band was fantastic and they sounded just like their recordings. They were so worth every step. The Amphitheatre was definitely a bucket list item it was absolutely beautiful. My son and I played golf the next day at a beautiful golf course the Fossil Ridge Golf Club. We were surrounded with beauty from the first hole to the end. The next day we took a trip to the beautiful city Estes Park at the edge of the Rocky Mountain National Park. We did a little shopping at the many souvenir shops and had lunch at the famous Penelope Hamburgers. We finished with a visit to the World Renowned Stanley Hotel. We took the tour and it was well worth it and very educational.
