Deep in the Woods

Posted on March 18, 2021

If you like the woodsy feel you will love a State Park in Oklahoma Robbers Cave State Park.

Robbers Cave State Park is located in southeastern Oklahoma. It gets its name from the days of Jesse James and his gang as it was a hideout of theirs. It sets at the highest point for the area and the gang could see anyone coming for miles. The cave and rock formations can be a little hike so wear good shoes. The State Park has a lake with canoe and paddleboat rentals a swimming pool and large pavilions spread out throughout the park with a equestrian section in the back for all the cowboys and cowgirls, its very nice back there with lots of room for the trailers and gear. There are log cabins up on the hill around the area of the RV section. The park does not have full hook ups water and electric only with a sewer pump out station. The park is old with winding roads and may not be the best for larger rigs. But if you like the woods this could be your hidden gem.
