CROSSROADS RV TRAVELS

Naples Florida

Posted on October 28, 2021

We Traveled to Naples, Florida from our stay at Riverbend RV Resort. A short 45 minute drive south and you are suddenly in paradise. We drive around the downtown area and are just taken away from the beauty. Every home is landscaped with a tropical theme that I just love. The palm trees are just so pleasant to see and they will give you a true feeling of vacation.

The business section of downtown streets are lined with palm trees and the buildings will have you thinking you are in Naples Italy. The streets are lined with restaurants and coffee shops, clothing and cottages type businesses. I was really drawn to a business called the Old Naples Pub. The Old Naples Pub was in a secluded area with a outdoor patio that is surrounded by vines growing from the floor to the ceiling. This place is one of a kind.

Just down the street from the Old Naples Pub is the Naples Pier. Its free and people will fish, relax on the benches and take in the 1000 foot wooden pier stretching out over the Gulf of Mexico. Its very exciting to watch and witness people catching fish from the pier as people gather to watch the landing and lifting of the fish. From the pier you can see the beaches lined with people enjoying the day with picnics and enjoying the clear ocean water and clean white sandy beaches. Naples indeed is a beautiful place.

Downtown Naples
This is the oldest house in Naples Florida, it is just at the corner where the Naples Pier is. At 12th Ave and Gulf shore Blvd.
